“Once upon a time a young man decided to leave home and make his fortune in the world. So he bid his mother and father farewell and set off across the land. He came to a foreign country and decided that he would settle there and find work….” (From A Foolish Young Man, study of 1 Kings 12:6-15)
My name is Janice Trees and I live in West Texas with my husband Jeff, three children, and numerous critters. I have been teaching children’s Bible classes for almost 20 years.
I started writing daily Bible lessons for my children in 2006. I wanted short, simple lessons that could be easily used and adapted to different age levels. I wanted something that fit with our homeschool, where I use the Charlotte Mason method of teaching. I decided to put my studies in this blog so that other families could make use of them.
Thank you so much for visiting this site! I hope these studies will bless you and your family.
The Daily Bible Studies are categorized by age in the sidebar on the right.
There you will find e-books of daily Bible lessons that can be done over several months, including lesson plans for a years’ worth of daily readings.
Please go to “Find a Study” on the right to find individual studies categorized by subject.
There you will find lessons on specific topics that you can print out for home or Bible class use. You can also use the “Search” box to find studies on specific books from the Bible or Bible characters. Please note that not every study from my e-books is posted here individually. There are many more choices available through the e-books than are posted here.
Not that I ever look like this woman, but please also read my teaching tips.
There you will find suggestions for different ways to use these studies with your children, scheduling Bible study time, and other advice.
I have not added to this site since the arrival of our fourth child 🙂 I do still monitor comments and answer questions.
HINT: You may find it easier to right-clink on a link and choose “Open”.
Oh Lord, Your law is my delight,

This is such a God-send! I was just praying about a bible study to use with my 7 kids. Our house is on the market and it seems I packed everything I need up! I was really wanting to work on a Christian world view with my children! Thanks for putting this out there for everyone. I also love your I Corinthians take for homeschoolers. I need that right now as we are having to keep our home clean for prospective buyers. It’s a nice reminder that my kids are more important than clean walls!

I am a retired teacher, former homeschooler, and still teach Sunday School and Mentor younger Christians. This is one of the best organized and well thought out sights I have come across. I can only imagine what an honor it would be to meet children who grew up under this teaching. Continue in his work. I am sure you will have a great influence on your grandchildren, too. Thanks for sharing your heart and walk with Christ.
